Pour un Sourire d’Enfant (PSE) - For a Child’s Smile is a non-profit organization founded by Christian and Marie-France des Pallières, operating in Cambodia since 1995. Its mission is to help children escape from destitution and lead them to decent, skilled and well-paid jobs.
Recognized by the local authorities, PSE is working in respect of the country with the Cambodians and thus supports sustainable development.
Six main programs – adapted to the needs of the children – have been developed: food, health, protection, education & schooling, vocational training and help for families.
PSE helps more than 6,500 children and more than 6,000 graduates from PSE Vocational Training program graduates have already successfully integrated the job market with a real qualified position. PSE employs more than 650 people in Cambodia (Phnom Penh mainly) and 6 staff at the headquarters in France. 400 volunteers in different countries are actively working on making the organization known through fundraising donations and sponsorships.
In 2000, PSE received the French Human Rights Prize from the French Republic.
S/he will responsible to manage key functions of Dental management, they include:
1. Treatment dental management care
2. Prevention educated oral hygiene to external students
3. Training and Development
4. Reporting, networking
5. Talent Management
6. Technical meeting.
Also, s/he will ensure children and their family members receive benefits and treatments care from this program in accordance to PSE policies and procedures
Treatment dental managerments care:
- Provide daily dental treatment care at least 17-20 childrens, families, family’s member per day in dental central like: (Sealant, extraction, filling, Endo treatment, Minor Surgeries and scaling)
- Consult and treat all month and teeth problems of the children and their families
- Have planned to treat normally and urgently
- Control the dental medication, dental materials and dental instruments with manager
- Keep all the documents relates to che children with dental problem
- Report work and problems every day for manager
- Organise and coordinate with students and their families related to dental disease
Prevention educated oral hygiene to external students
- Be responsible about oral hygiene and tell the children how to brush their teeth and clean their month in a direct way.
- Educate children about their dental care and follow up their activities
- Provide toothpaste and toothbrush to internal children three month daily
Training and Development
- To make plan and organise the works
- Motivate team work, and develop their personal and professional competencies
- Analysis and manage the work in section
- Well prepare and organise the documents. Report and discuss with manager of service every strategic decision, Change and/ or issue within manager of dental program central
- Go with the dental mobile to communities and public school twice a week
Reporting, networking
- Prepare monthly report with manager to Health Department
- Report work and problems for Director and manager
- Prepare and organise the documents, Report and discuss with Director of Department, Manager every strategic decision
Talent Management
- Manage for transfer of serious cases of surgeries patients to hospital. To insure that all patients need consultation in PSE dental central before transfer to the hospital for need more advanced dental surgeries
- As dental supervisor for control technical skill from dental student volunteers internship and foreign dentist volunteers
Technical and Staff meeting
- Coordinate with Dental Team, Dental Student volunteers for technical meeting every month and organise animate the meetings with team and exchange the experiences, development professional technical skill
- To organise and animate the meeting one time per month with the team and exchange the experiences.
- Bachelor degree of Dentist.
- At least two years experience in working fieded with NGOs or relevant company
- Good command of written and spoken English. French is a plus.
- Computer skills like Email, Outlook, Ms.Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc….
- Dental care for cardiac, all patients with consultation and treatment care
- Cross infection control protocol and share professional skill with team
- Good interpersonal communication and adaptive to a diverse team working environment.
- Commitment to PSE’s vision, core values and code of conduct
- Policy compliance and protection of children
- Patience, adaptability and ability to cope with change process.
