PSE Camps in 2025
The next PSE camps will take place from 25th August to 20th September.
Due to the Covid-19 health crisis in 2020 and 2021, the Cambodian school calendar has undergone several changes over the last four years. The Cambodian Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports has set the 2025 school holidays from 1st September to 19th September. However, although no changes are planned, any changes to the Cambodian school calendar that could affect the continuing education programme will be communicated immediately to all stakeholders.
What does a camp monitor do?
Instructors must be of legal age. They work in pairs with Khmer instructors and their role is to:

Prepare and supervise the fun and educational activities for the children, in close collaboration with the Cambodian monitors.

Be responsible for showers, meals, naps and supervision of the children during the camp.

Take care of the various tasks of tidying up, cleaning and managing the equipment.

Respect the timetable, schedules and rules laid down by the NGO.

Always be available and at the service of the children!
What does PSE offer to monitors during the Camps in Cambodia?

Selection and training process
For PSE, it is essential to have volunteers who are active, committed, supportive and generous, who know how to work in a team and who have the necessary knowledge, both to carry out the tasks they will be given and to live in harmony with the other volunteers in Cambodia. For these reasons, the NGO has pu in place a selection and training process that is essential for the development of the PSE camps.
RECRUITMENT: PHASE 1

RECRUITMENT: PHASE 2
Candidates selected after stage 1 will be invited to a personal online interview, which will take place via Google Meet and last approximately one hour. Two interview times are available. The language used may be English, French or Spanish, depending on the candidate's preference.
Two interview periods are available: between Monday May 12 and Friday May 16, 2025, and between Wednesday June 11 and Sunday June 15, 2025.
For the interview, you will need :

Failure to attend the interview will invalidate your application.
RECRUITMENT: PHASE 3
Those selected in phase 2 will have to take part in two days of selection and online training via Zoom :
- First day of training, Sunday June 22, 2025, morning in French and afternoon in Spanish.
- Second day of training, Saturday July 19, 2025, with the same timetable as the first day.
The same equipment as for phase 2 will be required for these days; however, the application to be used is Zoom.
Failure to attend either of these two days will result in cancellation of the application.
In 2025, the recruitment of specialized instructors
The PSE camps are made possible by the participation of over a hundred volunteers, mainly from Spain and France. The main profile sought is that of counselor, but health professionals are also essential. Profiles in communication and construction are also sought.

Dental prevention
Objectives
-
Promote oral health education by helping to change children's oral health behavior.
-
Prevent dental caries. Reduce the risk of caries and, consequently, the presence of cavities in children.

Optimize PSE dental procedures. Support PSE Cambodia's dental team and strengthen oral health promotion, prevention and care strategies.
Missions
-
Carry out dental examinations for children, establish a treatment or revision plan to be implemented by the PSE Cambodia dental team throughout the year.

Organize prevention and oral health promotion workshops for children, focusing on: cariogenic and healthy foods, brushing techniques and oral hygiene, oral disease prevention, dental emergencies and oral cancer.

Provide non-emergency dental care, primarily the treatment of oral trauma, dental caries and soft tissue lesions.
-
Participate in the training of PSE Cambodia's dental team so that they can carry out oral health promotion and prevention work throughout the year.

Maintain open communication with the PSE Cambodia dental team.
Additional requirements
Hold a university degree in odontology and be duly registered with the corresponding Order.
Health promotion and hygiene
Objectives
- Disease prevention. Contribute to changing children's health and hygiene behaviors.
- Health care and advice. Set up a health care network for volunteers deployed in Cambodia with PSE for the camps.
- Care and support for the sick and/or injured. Follow-up and accompaniment of all sick and/or injured volunteers, as well as communication with PSE doctors and referral hospitals in Cambodia if necessary.
Missions
- Provide comprehensive medical care, including examinations, treatment and review plans, and appropriate care, to PSE volunteers who suffer injuries, ailments or discomfort during the program.
- Ensure the follow-up and accompaniment of sick and/or injured PSE volunteers, both in PSE structures and in referral hospitals.
Maintain good communication with the PSE medical team in Cambodia and with doctors at referral hospitals when treating PSE volunteers. - Organize hygiene and health promotion and education workshops for children using a dynamic adapted to the different age groups, focusing on hand hygiene, prevention of communicable diseases, prevention of alcohol, tobacco and drug consumption, prevention of sexually transmitted diseases and sex education.
Additional conditions
- Hold a university degree in medicine or nursing.
- Medical students are admitted; however, they will perform exclusively hygiene and health promotion and education tasks, as well as accompanying sick PES volunteers.
Communication
Objectives

Writing and publishing content on the dedicated blog. This includes describing the various aspects of the PSE camps for partners, donors and other interested parties.

Promoting PSE camps on social networks: writing text and editing photos for the various PSE platforms.
-
Photo and video shooting: photographic and video content is essential for the various communication media developed by the NGO throughout the year, such as: folders, posters, leaflets, calendar, website...
Missions
-
Collect data and conduct interviews with beneficiaries, other volunteers and PSE workers.
-
Produce photo reports of the various PSE camp projects.
-
Take photos for other NGO documents: calendar, event promotion, website, etc.
-
Edit photos for the PSE blog and social networks.
-
Write the PSE camps blog in three languages: Spanish, French and English.

Publish articles in the WordPress content management system.
-
Produce content for PSE social networks about the camps, including Facebook and Instagram.
