It has been over 10 years already since she and her family moved from Kandal to reside in Phnom Penh. To feed the family of 9 members, her father made a living as Motorcycle Mechanic and Motorcycle Driver. Despite having two occupations at the same time, he could barely cover the living expenses for the whole family.
"My father wanted us to be educated like the other children, so he asked PSE to give my siblings and I an education as soon as he heard about this NGO. That is how my journey started" remembers Vannak.
The beginning of her education with PSE
Vannak, the fourth child in the family, joined PSE along with three elder siblings. Because she was not behind in her studies, she was enrolled in grade 2 in the state school and PSE offered its support as it does to every child: one meal per day and transportation to the school. Since her house was located near the school she studied in, she preferred to walk to school and eat at home and give her share to other children who were mere in needs than her.
Due to her hard-work and outstanding academic performances, she was granted with a scholarship to study at the PSE's Business School. "There weren't many available majors to choose as there is now, so I decided to study Accounting. I considered applying to the Medica School but didn't because of an eye problem" Vannak recalls. As soon as she graduated, she did not start working immediately as she was occupied with the preparation of the Taekwondo national competition.
First step as a business woman
"I began my carrer as an accountant at GPS Company. That was the first job I applied for", Vannak exclaims.
She spent a year working there before she changed to her current workplace at the International Business Chamber of Cambodia.
Because she did not have many tasks, Vannak started her second job as Accounts and Administration Officer, two positions at the same time! As she works, she finds herself dealing with both document and event organisation. It has been tough for her to adjust at first, but she managed to pull it off and kept on obtaining more skills compared to her previous job.
"Now, I am more associated with events organizing and socializing with people compared to my previous workplace", she says proudy.
"PSE is like a sun which lights up the way for children"
"PSE is like a sun which lights up the way for children in taking their steps forward in pursuing their goal and destination. In PSE, students are taught to be independent, to be confident as citizen and not be ashamed of who we are. They are encouraged to select the path they wish to pursue instead of being forced to choose", Vannak says.
With this positive mindset, Vannak chooses to live her life in the moment, following her own decision rather than foreseeing the unpredictable future. "I prefer to focus on my present situation, ejoying and focusing on what I can do to prepare myself for the upcoming challenges. And that's how I arrived where I am now" Vannak explains.

ចាប់តាំងពីបឋមសិក្សារហូតដល់បញ្ចប់ថ្នាក់មហាវិទ្យល័យ នៅអង្គការ ប៉េ អេស អឺ វណ្ណះសម្រេចចិត្តចាប់អាជីពជាគណនេយ្យករ។ វណ្ណះចង់ចែករំលែកអំពីដំណើររឿងរបស់រូបនាង។
រយៈពេល១០ឆ្នាំបានកន្លងផុតទៅ ចាប់តាំងពីពេលដែលគ្រួសាររបស់នាងបានផ្លាស់ទីលំនៅពីខេត្តកណ្តាលមកស្នាក់នៅជាអចិន្ត្រៃយ៏ក្នុងទីក្រុងភ្នំពេញ។ ដើម្បីចិញ្ចឹមសមាជិក៩នាក់ក្នុងបន្ទុក ឪពុករបស់នាងប្រកបរបរជាអ្នករត់ម៉ូតូឌុបនិងជាងប៉ះកង់ក្នុងពេលតែមួយ តែនៅមិនអាចផ្គត់ផ្គង់តម្រូវការក្នុងគ្រួសារឲ្យបានគ្រប់គ្រាន់ឡើយ។
“ឪពុករបស់ខ្ញុំចង់ឲ្យកូនៗទទួលបានការអប់រំដូចក្មេងឯទៀត ហេតុនេះពេលគាត់បានស្គាល់ពីអង្គការ ប៉េ អេស អឺ គាត់បានដាក់សំណើរស្នើរសុំអោយបងប្អូនពួកខ្ញុំបានចូលរៀននៅសាលារៀន ហើយនេះជាការចាប់ផ្តើមរបស់ខ្ញុំ។” វណ្ណះរំលឹកការចងចាំ
ដំណើរការសិក្សាដំបូងរបស់នាងនៅអង្គការ ប៉េ អេស អឺ
វណ្ណះ ដែលជាកូនទី៤ក្នុងគ្រួសារ ចាប់ផ្តើមទទួលបានជំនួយពីអង្គការ ប៉េ អេស អឺ រួមជាមួយនឹងបងៗរបស់នាង៣រូបទៀត។ ដោយសារតែនាងរៀនទាន់កម្មវិធីសិក្សានាងត្រូវបានបញ្ចូនទៅរៀននៅសាលារដ្ឋនៅថ្នាក់ទី២។ អង្គការ ប៉េ អេស អឺ ផ្តល់អាហារ១ពេល និងមធ្យោបាយធ្វើដំណើរដល់រូបនាងនិងកុមារផ្សេងទៀត ប៉ុន្តែនាងបានបដិសេដសំណើរនេះ ព្រោះផ្ទះរបស់នាងនៅជិតសាលា ដូច្នោះរូបនាងសម្រេចចិត្តទៅសាលាដោយការថ្មើរជើងនិងទទួលទានអាហារនៅផ្ទះ។ នាងចង់ទុកចំណែករបស់នាងឲ្យកុមារផ្សេងទៀតដែលមានភាពលំបាកខ្វះខាតជាងនាង ។
តាមការខិតខំប្រឹងប្រែងនិងលទ្ធផលលេចធ្លោនៃការសិក្សារបស់នាង វណ្ណះទទួលបានអាហារូបករណ៍សិក្សាថ្នាក់បរិញ្ញាបត្រនៅសាលាពាណិជ្ជសាស្រ្តក្នុងអង្គការ ប៉េ អេស អឺ។
“កាលពីមុនអត់សូវមានជំនាញច្រើនសម្រាប់ជ្រើសរើសដូចឥឡូវទេ ដូច្នេះខ្ញុំសម្រេចចិត្តជ្រើសយកជំនាញគណនេយ្យជំនួសជំនាញភាពយន្តនិងផលិតកម្មដោយសារបញ្ហាភ្នែក។”
បន្ទាប់ពីរៀនចប់ថ្នាក់បរិញ្ញាបត្រ វណ្ណះមិនទាន់ចូលបម្រើការងារជាគណនេយ្យករទេ ព្រោះនាងត្រូវចំណាយពេល៦ខែ រៀបចំខ្លួនហ្វឹកហ្វាត់ក្នុងការចូលរួមប្រកួតកីឡា តៃក្វាន់ដូ ថ្នាក់ជាតិ។
ជំហានដំបូងនៃអាជីពរបស់នាង
“ខ្ញុំចាប់ផ្តើមធ្វើការដំបូងជាគណនេយ្យករនៅក្រុមហ៊ុន ជី ភី អេស។ នោះជាការងារដំបូងបង្អស់ដែលខ្ញុំចាប់ផ្តើម” នាងលាន់មាត់។
មុនពេលដែលការប្រកួតកីឡាថ្នាក់ជាតិត្រូវបានបញ្ចប់មុនមួយខែ នាងបានដាក់ពាក្យធ្វើការនៅក្រុមហ៊ុន ជី ភី អេស ក្នុងតំណែងជាគណនេយ្យករ។ វណ្ណះបានចំណាយពេល១ឆ្នាំធ្វើការនៅក្រុមហ៊ុននេះ មុនពេលដែលនាងបានផ្លាស់មកធ្វើការនៅក្រុមហ៊ុន អាយ ប៊ី ស៊ី ដែលជាក្រុមហ៊ុននាងបច្ចុប្បន្ន ។

“ខ្ញុំធ្វើការជាគណនេយ្យករ និងរដ្ធបាលក្នុងពេលតែមួយ នៅកន្លែងធ្វើការបច្ចុប្បន្ន។បើប្រៀបនឹងកន្លែងធ្វើការចាស់ ការងារដែលកំពុងធ្វើភាគច្រើនទាក់ទងនឹងការរៀបចំកម្មវិធីនិងការប្រាស្រ័យទាក់ទងជាមួយមនុស្សក្នុងសង្គមច្រើន ហេតុនេះមានរឿងថ្មីជាច្រើនខ្ញុំអាចរៀនពីទីនេះ” វណ្ណះឆ្លើយតបទាំងទឹកមុខញញឹម។
“អង្គការ ប៉េ អេស អឺ ប្រៀបដូចជាព្រះអាទិត្យបំភ្លឺផ្លូវសម្រាប់កុមារក្នុងការបោះជំហានទៅមុខ ឆ្ពោះទៅរកបំពេញក្តីស្រមៃដែលពួកគេមាន”
សិស្សក្នុងអង្គការ ប៉េ អេស អឺ ត្រូវបានបង្រៀនអោយមានឯករាជ្យភាព មានភាពជឿជាក់លើខ្លួនឯង និងមិនត្រូវមានភាពខ្មាសអៀនក្នុងការធ្វើជាខ្លួនឯងឡើយ។ លើសពីនេះទៅទៀត អង្គការ ប៉េ អេស អឺ ជម្រុញអោយពួកគេធ្វើតាមការសម្រេចចិត្តរបស់ខ្លួនឯងដោយមិនបង្ខំឲ្យធ្វើនូវអ្វីដែលពួកគេមិនចូលចិត្ត។ក្រោមការបណ្តុះបណ្តាលជាមួយផ្នត់គំនិតវិជ្ជមានបែបនេះវណ្ណះរស់នៅក្នុងជីវិតរបស់នាងផ្តោតលើបច្ចុប្បន្នកាលដែលខ្លួនមានជាជាងចំណាយពេលសញ្ចឹងគិតពីអនាគតដែលមិនអាចទាយទុកបាន។
“ខ្ញុំចូលចិត្តរស់នៅជីវិតដែលផ្តោតទៅលើអ្វីដែលខ្ញុំកំពុងមាន ដើម្បីរៀបចំខ្លួនប្រឈមមុខនិងដោះស្រាយឧបសគ្គដែលអាចនឹងកើតមាន។ ដោយសារតែផ្នត់គំនិតវិជ្ជមានបែបនេះ ទើបខ្ញុំមានថ្ងៃនេះ។”
