Mental health care: supporting every student
Taking children's living conditions into account
Food insecurity is a real risk for the children supported by PSE, and the consequences for their physical and mental health can be devastating.
Because every child has the right to healthcare, we offer tailored, personalized care based on the needs of our beneficiaries, supervised by a medical and psychological team.
Supporting mental health, a strong commitment to children
At Pour un Sourire d’Enfant, a team of four psychologists provides therapeutic support to children who need it.
The mission of the psychology department is to support the emotional and mental well-being of all students by providing accessible mental health services. We are committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment that promotes resilience, personal development, and academic success.
A Daily support
Through counseling, psychoeducation, and collaboration between stakeholders, we empower students to overcome challenges, build healthy relationships, and thrive both personally and academically.
We offer individual and group consultations to students and families benefiting from the PSE program in order to create a healthy family environment. We work closely with stakeholders, particularly to prevent psychological risks among young people and avoid school dropouts.
A clear vision for mental health professionals at PSE
Our vision is to create a school environment where mental health is recognized as an integral part of learning and development. We strive to build a group of people who promote emotional well-being and support each student.
By encouraging a culture of openness, understanding, and encouragement, we want to help students realize that psychological support is essential for everyone, to seek help for emotional and psychological problems, and to spread the effectiveness of this approach to all secondary school students.
Raising awareness among staff for a consistent approach
Our psychologists also raise awareness among PSE teams about understanding the difficulties young people face, and have set up a training program on child and adolescent development.
