Public Relations Manager

Job description :

S/he will be responsible to build positive relationship with PSE partners, public authorities, alumni, media, influential members of the business community, the NGO community and the public in Cambodia. S/he will support to coordinate key events of PSE.

Missions :

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manages/support key events of PSE in Cambodia to raise public awareness and generate partnerships (internal & external);
  • Prepares press releases, keynote speeches and presentations of PSE programs ; sources and manages speaking opportunities; addresses inquiries from the media and other parties;
  • Hosts VIP visitors/partners/press to ensure they have positive impression about PSE’s work and engage partnership/donations/sponsorships opportunities;
  • Regularly updates the CRM/database for donations;
  • Develops tools to monitor the reputation of PSE in Cambodia; share press reviews and news regularly with the internal team in Cambodia;
  • Coordinate video/photos shooting in and ouside PSE (interviews, events…);
  • Manage PSE’s alumini network to ensure they are connected and committed to support PSE (ambassador network);
  • Does other task as required by line manager.
     
Profile :

Education
Degree in in Public Relations, Journalism, business development, Communications or a any related fields

Experience

  • Proven 5 years of experience as a Public Relations Officer or similar PR role
  • Experience managing media relations (online, broadcast and print) and event planning
  • Experience of working with children and communities and managing child-related programs and projects would be an asset

Skills

  • Excellent written and spoken Khmer & English. French is a plus
  • Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills, powers of persuasion
  • Networking, relationship builder; ability to produce appropriate follow up to partners / alumni / media in order to encourage on going relationships
  • Excellent organization/coordination skills and events management
  • Photos/video/interview process management

Specific Technical Competencies

  • Curiosity, ability to remain well informed of all organisation activities and stakeholders expectations & concerns
  • Proficient in MS Office/Google suite/SalesForce
  • Press relations, press releases, press conferences, journalist in-site visits
  • Partnership/sponsorship proposals,  agreements and reports; well updated on rules & regulations related to sponsorship & donations
  • Good understanding of topics related to children’s rights & education, vocational training and, in general, country & community development
