Head of Content
Pour un Sourire d’Enfant (PSE) - For a Child’s Smile is a non-profit organization founded by Christian and Marie-France des Pallières, operating in Cambodia since 1995. Its mission is to help children escape from destitution and lead them to decent, skilled and well-paid jobs.
Recognized by the local authorities, PSE is working in respect of the country with the Cambodians and thus supports sustainable development.
Six main programs – adapted to the needs of the children – have been developed: food, health, protection, education & schooling, vocational training and help for families.
PSE helps 7,000 children and 7,000 graduates from PSE Vocational Training program graduates have already successfully integrated the job market with a real qualified position. PSE employs more than 650 people in Cambodia (Phnom Penh mainly) and 8 staff at the headquarters in France. 500 volunteers in different countries are actively working on making the organization known through fundraising donations and sponsorships.
In 2000, PSE received the French Human Rights Prize from the French Republic.

The Head of Content plays a key role in defining messages and publications, ensuring their consistency and alignment with PSE's main objectives.
He/she uses his/her expertise in content marketing to create engaging content that meets our visibility and fundraising objectives.
He/she reports to the Communications Director, who is also based in Cambodia.

Strategy & Leadership
- Implement a comprehensive content strategy aligned with PSE's communication strategy and strategic plan.
- Monitor or update content creation, validation, and publication processes as needed.
- Supervise the two members of the Content team: a Social Media Manager (volunteer on a 6-month assignment in Cambodia) and a graphic designer (local employee).
Manage the editorial calendar
- Monitor the overall editorial calendar based on internal/external events, communication objectives, and publication requests received from various contributors (volunteers, management, local teams).
- Propose and create content that generates engagement, strengthens brand awareness, and contributes to the development of PSE's reputation in France, Cambodia, and internationally.
Content distribution
- Oversee the publication of content on the website, social media, and PSE's usual media (flyers, banners, posters).
- Ensure that deadlines are met for all content produced by the team at the request of other departments or for communication objectives (texts, videos, visuals).
- Analyze the performance of each channel and optimize the content strategy accordingly.
Other tasks
- Handle certain visits to the PSE campus by major donors or the French press, if necessary.
- Oversee the planning and implementation of campus visits organized by the Social Media Manager.
Education
- Bachelor's degree (Communication, Public Relations, Business School, etc.)
Experience
- At least 8 years of experience in content creation, social media management, and corporate communications.
- 2 years of team management experience.
Skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Creativity: ability to come up with new and original ideas, sensitivity to the choice of words and images. Great attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
- Advocacy: appetite for public speaking.
Requirements
- Position based in Phnom Penh
- Desired start date: June 2026
- VSI contract (allowance + social security coverage, health insurance, repatriation insurance, round-trip airfare)
- Minimum 1 year, preferably 2 years
