Job description :

S/he will be responsible of the higiene, security, and environment, and discipline of a group of kids in an accommodation program.
 

Missions :

Team work and communication

  • Actively participate in and contribute meaningfully to all required meetings
  • Maintain effective communication using approved organizational systems
  • Develop and maintain confidential individual case files for all assigned children
  • Assume supervisory responsibilities when authorized
  • Conduct case follow-ups with social services as directed
     

Daily Supervision and Care

  • Oversee daily routines for assigned group (education, hygiene, and attire)
  • Enforce program rules, conduct nightly attendance checks, and report to management
  • Conduct weekly group meetings to address concerns, resolve issues, and share information
  • Provide emotional support and guidance, particularly during evening hours
  • Manage disciplinary matters as they arise
  • Coordinate medical treatment follow-ups with educator assistants
  • Meet regularly with teachers to review academic performance and classroom behavior
  • Encourage and facilitate student participation in extracurricular and social activities
  • Organize and oversee community service initiatives
  • Address additional cases escalated by educator assistants

Special Case Management

  • Assess individual needs and collaborate with specialists to develop personalized plans
  • Conduct biannual evaluations of support services
  • Attend biweekly meetings with special cases educators and provide manager updates
  • Monitor implementation of personalized plan activities

Additional Duties

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management
Profile :

Education

  • Degree or equivalent certification in Education, Social Sciences, Psychology, or related child welfare disciplines.

Experience

  • 2 years of professional experience working with at-risk youth populations or comparable social work settings

Skills

  • Good communication skills
  • Able to communicate in English, French is preferable
  • Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Email)

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions
  • Data-driven decision making with attention to detail
