Academic Officer
Pour un Sourire d’Enfant (PSE) - For a Child’s Smile is a non-profit organization founded by Christian and Marie-France des Pallières, operating in Cambodia since 1995. Its mission is to help children escape from destitution and lead them to decent, skilled and well-paid jobs.
Recognized by the local authorities, PSE is working in respect of the country with the Cambodians and thus supports sustainable development.
Six main programs – adapted to the needs of the children – have been developed: food, health, protection, education & schooling, vocational training and help for families.
PSE helps more than 6,500 children and more than 6,000 graduates from PSE Vocational Training program graduates have already successfully integrated the job market with a real qualified position. PSE employs more than 650 people in Cambodia (Phnom Penh mainly) and 6 staff at the headquarters in France. 400 volunteers in different countries are actively working on making the organization known through fundraising donations and sponsorships.
In 2000, PSE received the French Human Rights Prize from the French Republic.

The purpose of the position is to coordinate the centralization of all academic administration, planning, statistics, resources and perform the school information system management.
- Create and develop necessary academic document for the department (regulation, students assessment standards, templates, ….)
- Ensure all documents for examination, transcripts and other academic administrative works related to examination accurately completed
- Centralise and ensure the accuracy of all data and statistic of the department and be the key contact person on the department statistic
- Create, structure, and manage the global school database folders and templates (student list, score record, attendance records, …)
- Ensure GE Department Dashboard is accurately and timely generated to PSE’s dashboard templates
- Be the focal point for the cross-section school scheduling (Languages, Softskill, Environment, Extra Curricular, Computer) and department annual academic/activities plan
- Coordinate the school examinations preparation and organisation
- Monitors the accuracy and implementation of the students evaluation filings and records
- Take the lead in organising the school event (meeting, workshop, competition, parent meeting, ministries inspection, etc.)
- Perform academic quality practice check, follow-up, reporting centralization
- Assist GE Director with appropriate timely dispatch of out-going and incoming official correspondence including letter, memo, related documents, translation,…
- Assist GE Director in arranging and organising meeting including managing the schedule, making appointments, and preparing logistic support, taking minute and follow up actions
- Assist GE Director in filing related documents to Ministries, other institutes and NGO partners
- Perform other duties as assigned by superiors
- Bachelor degree in Administration or Education
- At least 3 years of experience in academic administration or school secretary
- Strong academic administrative or school secretary works
- Strong knowledge of computer skill, including MS Office, data management, and all Google Applications (specifically Microsoft Excel/Google Sheet)
- Very good level of English for both speaking and writing skill
- Well organised, planning, and coordinating skill
- Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to take initiative, do multi-task, work under pressure and tough deadline, be flexible
