The Tour, a historic event for the association
After discovering the extreme poverty in which thousands of children were living, Christian and Marie-France des Pallières, founders of the association Pour un Sourire d'Enfant, quickly decided to "do something" and help these destitute children.
But overwhelmed by the situation, they went to France to mobilise their friends and family around the urgency of the situation in Cambodia, using some photos they had taken on the dumpsite.. That was the first tour of the association!
"Everyone saw the seriousness of the situation, and everyone mobilised"
Christian des Pallières
Film evenings and meetings to discover the incredible story of Pour un Sourire d'Enfant
Every year, Marie-France des Pallières - previously accompanied by Christian who has now passed away - goes out to meet the public to raise awareness of the current situation in Cambodia and to present the extraordinary work carried out by the association to lift the poorest children out of poverty.
The Pour un Sourire d'Enfant film "From Destitution to a Vocation" is updated every year. The tour evenings are an opportunity to meet all those who are ready to join this wonderful adventure!
Every year, Marie-France des Pallières is accompanied by an "old hand" who has already graduated and who shares their story and journey within the association. Together, they travel to new towns in France, with the support of volunteers.
How can I support the Pour un Sourire d'Enfant Annual Tour?
There are several ways to support the annual tour each year:
- I attend an event near me
Follow the association's news on our website and social networks to be alerted to the next dates of the Marie-France des Pallières TourI become an ambassador of the Tour
- Being an ambassador of the Tour
It means helping Pour un Sourire d'Enfant publicise itself and to open our evenings to as many people as possible. By becoming an ambassador, you will receive the communication tools (posters, flyers, mail...) about the evening of your choice that you will then be able to share with your friends, your colleagues, your family, and any other people likely to be interested in PSE’s adventure.
- Organise an evening of the Tour
In collaboration with the PSE team, you can organise an evening event near your home and let your family, friends and colleagues discover the work that PSE has been doing for 25 years to help thousands of Cambodian children escape poverty. We can help you with the different stages of the organisation of this event (logistics, communication...) to make it a success!
