Solidarity mobilization: a blood drive at PSE

Under the roof of SPL, an emblematic venue for major events, the morning bustle quickly drew attention. One by one, blood collection beds were set up, gradually transforming the space. It soon became clear that something big was going on... PSE hosted a major blood drive in partnership with the National Blood Transfusion Center.

The event was a great success, bringing together students from the vocational training courses as well as PSE staff members, all aware of the crucial impact of these donations for our beneficiaries.

Indeed, some of our students face health problems on a daily basis that regularly require blood transfusions. Such is the case of a student from the École d'Hôtellerie, who testifies to the vital role of these donations for her health. Her story reminds us that every drop of blood counts and can save lives.

For many of the participants, this was their first experience. Our students showed courage and generosity, motivated by touching reasons, sometimes tinged with humor:

  • “I share my blood for everyone!”
  • “I have too much for myself.”

Or for some, the opportunity to enjoy the snack offered at the end of the donation, carefully prepared by the École d'Hôtellerie et du Tourisme.

This solidarity action not only collected precious blood bags, but also raised awareness among our students and staff of the importance of giving.

“It was my first time and I'm planning to do it again,” confided Sreyka, a student from the sales management school.

Together, we're making a difference, one drop at a time, one smile at a time.
