It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of our French volunteer Lisa Girard-Fabre on 4th August 2025. She will be dearly missed.

Lisa was missing on the morning of 2nd August after running a 21km marathon with her friends in Angkor temples. Her body was found by Cambodian police on the 4th August. A police investigation is still ongoing, and we are waiting for further information.

Lisa came to PSE for a first mission 2 years ago, hitchhiking alone from Paris to Phnom Penh. She was brave, she seemed to radiate happiness, and was truly engaged in helping others. She will be missed by the PSE family.

She was going to turn 24 on 29th September.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Lisa’s parents, her brother, her family, her friends, and her colleagues.
