Raising awareness among children and youngsters about extreme poverty in Cambodia
- In kindergarten, these presentations allow children to discover how to care for others and to share, as Christian and Marie-France des Pallières, the founders of Pour un Sourire d'Enfant, did.
- In primary school, the objective is to open up to the world, to develop empathy, to take an interest in differences and also to respect others. It is also an opportunity for the children to realise that going to school is a chance because many others do not have access to it.
- In secondary school, the presentations aim to develop solidarity and to encourage them to be actors of a fairer world. It is also an opportunity to develop with the pupils the themes of equal opportunities and the realisation of their dreams.
The means at our disposal
Pour un Sourire d'Enfant has a number of educational tools available to run these activities in schools: interactive presentations and videos, adapted to each level and age group.
A presentation in class can also be accompanied by a concrete action that the children will carry out afterwards: solidarity race, bowl of rice... A great way for children to get involved in a meaningful humanitarian action!
Volunteers committed to these presentations
Volunteers from Pour un Sourire d'Enfant run these activities in the schools. They like to talk to the pupils and are familiar with the situation in Cambodia as well as the association's actions.
