In December 2000, Pour un Sourire d'Enfant was awarded the Human Rights Prize of the French Republic. The aim of this prize is to recognise the fundamental role of civil society in the promotion and protection of human rights throughout the world.

Recognition in Cambodia

In September 2011, Pour un Sourire d'Enfant's Vocational Training Institute was recognised by the Cambodian authorities and the diplomas awarded were approved by the Cambodian Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training. The PSE Institute is one of the few institutions in Cambodia to offer such a programme to a population of disadvantaged youngsters.
