Pedagogy Coordinator
Pour un Sourire d’Enfant (PSE) - For a Child’s Smile is a non-profit organization founded by Christian and Marie-France des Pallières, operating in Cambodia since 1995. Its mission is to help children escape from destitution and lead them to decent, skilled and well-paid jobs.
Recognized by the local authorities, PSE is working in respect of the country with the Cambodians and thus supports sustainable development.
Six main programs – adapted to the needs of the children – have been developed: food, health, protection, education & schooling, vocational training and help for families.
PSE helps more than 6,500 children and more than 6,000 graduates from PSE Vocational Training program graduates have already successfully integrated the job market with a real qualified position. PSE employs more than 650 people in Cambodia (Phnom Penh mainly) and 6 staff at the headquarters in France. 400 volunteers in different countries are actively working on making the organization known through fundraising donations and sponsorships.
In 2000, PSE received the French Human Rights Prize from the French Republic.

S/he will responsible to develop the pedagogy in order to ensure the quality of teaching and learning such as:
- the curriculum / program
- the educational and pedagogical material
- the teacher capacity building
- the assessment tools for student and teacher
1. Help to Develop the curriculum / program:
-
Work closely with pedagogy manger, deputy pedagogy manger, school manger and school academic officer to identify the need of curriculum development.

Develop yearly curriculum detail to meet students learning needs and school expectation.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of curriculum implementation in schools.

Revise and readjust the curriculum if necessary
2- Pedagogy training
- Conduct teachers training needs assessment within their team members through discussion with pedagogy manger, deputy pedagogy manger and school mangers.
- Provide new pedagogical training to teachers in order to build up teaching and learning competencies.
- Monitor and follow up implementation of training concepts to ensure they are applied in the real classrooms.
- Conduct co planning and teaching with new teachers and need supported teachers.
3- Assessment tools

Adjust and update placement test

Modify and upgrade teacher recruitment test

Develop monthly, semester 1, semester 2 and final test

Develop the assessment for learning to check to students’ understanding.
4- Teaching resources
- Work team members to develop teaching and learning to support learning activities and events.
- Develop exercise books with team members.
- Manage teachers’ lesson plan.
5. Other task assigned by line manger.
1. Education
- Master’s degree in Education, Pedagogy, Teacher Training Development or similar field of study
2. Experience
- Four years experience in Pedagogy Development and Teacher Training
3. Skills
- English speaking
- Strong leadership skill
- Microsoft office, email, Internet
