Covid-19: Emergency for Cambodian families

Make a donation

Faced with the risk of Covid-19, the PSE Center in Phnom Penh has been closed since mid-March, like all schools in Cambodia.

The economy has been strongly impacted, and now is hitting the poorest families quite hard

Even the odd jobs, activities parents do to survive (waste recycling, street sales...) have come to a stop.

At the same time, we have had to cancel our fundraising events, including the annual European tour of our founder Marie-France des Pallières.

During the crisis, we have so far been able to distribute care packages of food to over 1,600 families every month essentially for those who can’t afford to buy food at all.

Here is how far your individual donations will go towards bringing care packages with food to one family during the pandemic:

1 month
$30

2 months
$60

3 months
$90

4 months
(until school is back in session)
$120

You will receive monthly updates about the children and their families until September.

Depending on how this situation evolves, for the families we serve, as well as the return to school date for children (not yet known), a portion of your donation may be allocated for educational programs.

Since the beginning of the crisis, our social team has been carrying out emergency care with families:

April 3: Distributed 32 tons of rice to 1,137 families
